What to See at The Sugar Palm
The Food
Citrusy salads textured with peanuts and perfumed with mint and basil, gentle curries built on lemongrass, kaffir lime and galangal, and wok-fried classics — the menu reads like a greatest-hits of Khmer home cooking, served with a touch more polish than you’d get at a family table.
The Setting
A wooden, open-sided dining room on Taphul Road, just far enough from the Old Market crush to feel a little calmer, with a long-running reputation among both visitors and Siem Reap expats.
The Chef
Owner-chef Kethana built the menu from recipes she learned from her mother and grandmother, and occasionally runs cooking classes on her own farm outside town for visitors who want to learn the dishes themselves.
