Bokor Hill Station

A 30-minute drive up the mountain, the abandoned French colonial hill station of Bokor is one of Cambodia’s eeriest and most atmospheric places. Swirling mist, abandoned casino, and a hilltop Buddhist temple with views to Vietnam on a clear day.

Waterfalls & Caves

Closer to town, Tek Chhouu is Kampot’s easy riverside picnic spot — shallow rapids and rock pools just 8km out, popular with local families on weekends. Further east toward the Vietnam border, Phnom Kampong Trach is a solitary limestone karst riddled with caves, including a shrine cave holding a reclining Buddha and a separate “swimming cave” enclosing its own still lake.
