The Training Model

Haven takes in young adults — many leaving orphanages, shelters, or very poor rural households — and gives them a paid, supervised stepping stone into independent life: English and computer lessons, life-skills training, and structured on-the-job hospitality experience in the restaurant itself.

The Menu

A mix of well-made Western comfort food (including a Swiss-inflected schnitzel) and authentic Cambodian dishes, leaning on organic, locally sourced ingredients.

The Atmosphere

A quiet, low-key dining room on Chocolate Road, just east of Wat Damnak — calmer and more residential than the Pub Street strip, which suits the unhurried, genuinely warm service from the trainee staff.

Haven is on Chocolate Road (Sangkat Sala Kamreuk), a short ride from central Siem Reap.

• On foot: Walkable from the Wat Damnak area, including Cuisine Wat Damnak
