What to See at Keat Farm
Cambodia’s Sheep Pioneers
Sheep are simply not part of Cambodian farming tradition — which is what makes Keat Farm remarkable. Founder Bun Chan Virak started with 11 sheep and 8 pigs and has grown the operation to roughly 1,000 sheep and 300 pasture-raised pigs on organic principles, drawing study visits from universities and farmers across the region.
The Visitor Experience
On open days, visitors can walk the pastures, feed and photograph the notably sociable flock, and see how the animals are raised. It’s informal, family-friendly and refreshingly uncommercial — a farm first, an attraction second.
The Setting
The farm sits in Khvet Tuol Khlaing village, Kbal Teuk commune, in the grassy foothills of Tuek Phos district — the same green belt below the Aural range that hides the province’s waterfalls and campsites, making it an easy stop on a Tuek Phos day.
How to Get to Keat Farm
Tuek Phos district is southwest of Kampong Chhnang town; the farm is reachable by decent rural roads.
- By car or moto: From Kampong Chhnang town or from Phnom Penh (roughly 2–2.5 hours from the capital); navigate with the map link — signage is limited
- Combine: Pair with the Tuek Phos waterfalls (Tmor Kral, Anlung Svay) or a campsite overnight
